Random Facts
There is (was?) a thing going around Instagram where you were asked to write 5 random things about yourself. I've done this on my blog before but it's been awhile so I decided to go ahead and put my 5 things here on the blog plus five more!
1. I can use my toes like fingers and pick up almost anything with them. Mainly because they are as long as fingers (sick).
2. Going to the post office is one of my least favorite things ever followed closely by pumping gas.
3. I ate and LOVED seafood my whole life and then one day I thought it made me feel weird. Now i'm afraid to eat it but I miss it SO MUCh. I need to get some kind of test done to see if I'm really allergic. If I've been missing out on it all these years just because I'm crazy I will be SO MAD.
4. I have an irrational fear of balloons. Those things freak me out. They can pop at ANY MOMENT.
5. I'm not scared of spiders at all. In fact in my house I'm usually the spider killer.
6. I never drank pop (Coke) until I met Luke and he was addicted. Now he has quit completely and I'm addicted.
7. Before Eli I sometimes wondered if I wanted kids. Now that I have him I want four.
8. I've never been to a wedding where I didn't cry - except my own.
9. I never want a dog. {for the record I always had one growing up and loved them like a normal dog lover - but I don't want one now}
10. Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher until I went to college. Sometimes I wish I would have followed through with it.

Okay, my toes are the same, like a second set of hands sometimes. At least I know I'm not the only weird one around here :)
ReplyDeleteI cry at every single wedding I go to, but I didn't cry at my own. So weird!
ReplyDeleteI also cry at every wedding but not my own!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with number two!!!
ReplyDeleteSpiders don't bother me either but I am like you if I remember correctly...I HATE a mouse!!!
ReplyDeleteStarted the Diet Coke habit a few years ago....I've given it up twice. It keeps reeling me back in!
we might be the same person.
ReplyDelete1- i also have monkey toes. an affectionate term coined by the hubs.
2- word. and WORD.
4- scariest things EVER.
5- spiders I've got. now a snake? oh heck no. i'm gone.
7- same here. although i'm still not sure if i'll have more.
8- k we're opposites here. i don't cry at weddings.
Your toe thing immediately reminded me of my 2nd cousin, Matt Stutzman, who was born with no arms and is headed to London next week as the top qualifier from the US in archery at the Paralympics! He is AMAZING!! Check out "Inspirational Archer" on Facebook and YouTube. You will be in awe. He uses his feet for everything. We used to love watching him eat at family reunions. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of when balloons pop, but I love them so much, it's worth the risk :)
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely see an allergist. I am one. But I bet we live far away from each other :) Why miss out on seafood if you don't have to?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, we could be sisters...addicted to soda, hate the post office, afraid of balloons, want 4 kids, had a dog growing up (and loved it) and now never want another. Ever. AND I wanted to be a teacher, but I am not one now. Most days, still wish I was.
4 and 8 are super interesting!
ReplyDeleteI never even considered being a teacher but now that I'm in the workforce, I wish I had gone to school to be a teacher, but I also love the flexibility of my job. I don't think I would just get to leave the classroom to pick up my kid if he was sick, and I think it would be harder to call in. I also want three children now that we have two. :)
ReplyDeleteSo funny, I always cry during the views at weddings but didn't cry during my own either!
