About once a month I decide that I want to blog every single day.
And then I usually go a week or so without blogging after that.
It is a weird and annoying cycle that continues in my life and I am trying to break it.
Obviously a couple of weeks ago I decided to blog everyday, and then blogged once a week. I didn't mean to go so long without blogging, but in true Megan fashion I have to say "It wasn't my fault!!!"
My Macbook has been out of commission this week and that is where I do all of my life from. Yes I said life. It has really been weird figuring out how to function without my macbook. Believe it or not I've been a bit more productive.
And word to the wise; do not under any circumstances let your baby, toddler, or child chew and/or suck on your charger to your computer. This will indeed cause it to malfunction.
Lesson learned.
Although I have to say it took a whole day of Luke trying to figure out what was wrong with my computer before I admitted to him that Eli had used my charger as a chew toy mere moments before it quit working. He was not amused.
I still, in fact, have lots of posts that I want to blog, but I have to be in my groove. Groove= I NEED MY LAPTOP.
So for now I will just do a recap of what we have been up to. Because when my grandkids read my blog on some fancy schmancy new Apple product that they just HAD TO HAVE they will in fact know what we were up to the first weeks of 2012. And I will smile down on them from heaven.
Actually I don't know why I have to be in heaven in this scenario I could be sitting right next to them telling them about the good ole days when we actually had to cook our food and gas was only $4 a gallon.
Anyways, our recap:
Last week we went to my friend Katie's house to watch the Giants vs. Cowboys game. I think I've mentioned it on here before that Luke is a HUGE NY Giants fan. He has been since he was eight years old (because thats normal for an eight year old to like a team that is thousands of miles away from their own state).
So that means I am a fan by marriage and Eli is a fan by birth. I guess Eli can choose one day to not be a fan (and break his father's heart) but I signed a contract and made a vow. Giants till death.
Last week the Passion conference was webcast live on the internet (I'm not sure webcast is the correct word but I like the sound of it). Eli and I sat down and watched it one night. This boy LOVES music.

We have had some crazy unseasonably warm weather here (I think most of the nation has) so on Friday we took advantage of it. Eli and I went on a walk and then we hung out on the porch. He crawled around and explored and I tried to keep him from falling off the porch.

One day while unloading the dishes I looked over to find this. I always wanted a house cleaner! Now I need to teach him to use a vacuum.

Last week when we wore our new Giants shirts the team won. So Luke suggested that we all wear our shirts again because it "worked" last time. I will never understand boys and their absurd sports "logic" but because I made a promise to love him through crazy I put Eli and I in the same exact outfits we wore one week ago.
The Megan from high school who wrote down every outfit she wore so that she didn't repeat an outfit in a month just died inside. And for the record not repeating an outfit in a month did in fact NOT make me cool. But I tried.

And, yes Eli loves to pull my hair. I've gotten to the point where my skull is numb and it no longer hurts. And yes I added a scarf to change it up a little. Watch out, this might become a fashion blog soon.
Today we went to church, came home, ate lunch and relaxed and watched the Giants game. Eli took a nap and woke up the crankiest baby E.V.E.R. I think it has something to do with his top tooth coming in. He only wanted me and wouldn't leave my side, but he was still fussy. So I cuddled him close and then climbed into our favorite blue chair with Luke. We all sat together in a chair definitely not big enough for 2 1/2 people and watched some football game. I love my family.

So that is a tiny recap of what the Tree's have been up to. Tomorrow begins our first FULL week back to work since the middle of December and I have to say I am ready for a bit of routine.
And I hope to blog more than once this week! I will NOT make it my goal to blog everyday, only bad things come from that.
Y'all are the cutest little family ever! And speaking of little...YOU are tiny, Mama.
ReplyDeleteyou guys are the cutest :-) I love that he made you wear your shirts again - seriously, boys are weird :-)
ReplyDeleteLol love the comments on the outfit. And girl I hear you on the numb skull. Oh my gosh. B has a way of twirling my hair around his fingers and just yanking it! Ouch!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I've ever met another person who used to write down what she wore every day in high school. I did the exact same thing. I don't know if I've ever admitted it though, so thank you for helping me go public with that fact from my past.
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture of y'all. :)
Much love,
Ashley
That last picture of you guys is adorable! Glad you're back.
ReplyDeleteI think I say this on every post, but Eli is so stinkin adorable!

I also wrote down everything I wore, every single day, in an attempt to not rewear anything too quickly. I didn't know anyone else did that!
ReplyDeleteIf the Giants are playing Green Bay next week, I'll be a Giants fan too!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Your family is so adorable!!
This is going to sound awful..but in high school I wrote down in my planner what someone else wore everyday in high school. I can't believe I just admitted that.
