Week 35

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've debated whether to share this or not. I've decided not to. Maybe I will at the end. However at this rate that's a big fat no.

Maternity Clothes: Everything about me is maternity. I even went in search for maternity underwear. If they made maternity socks I would probably need those also.

Gender: BOY!! Eli Tree

Movement: Oh yeah, baby boy moves a lot. I love watching my belly move. It is so much fun! This morning it looked and felt like he was playing the drums in there. Maybe he will take after his daddio and be a musician. Of course Luke doesn't care if he is a musician or not - as long as he plays football.

Sleep: Sleep is pretty bad. Luke asked me why and I can't pinpoint it. I just can't get comfortable. I think it's a combination of sleeping on my side combined with getting up multiple times to go to the bathroom that has made sleep so bad. It has gotten better this week so I'm very glad about that.

What I miss: Probably just good sleep

Cravings: Nothing really. I haven't had any strong cravings lately

Symptoms: The bad sleep thing, heartburn and I get worn out really easily. Very tired.

Best Moment this week: We got to hear the heartbeat this week and it was good and strong! Also, we had a teeny tiny ultrasound this week and the Dr confirmed that the baby is head down. However that was all we saw. Our dr treats ultrasounds like PURE GOLD.

And my favorite husband quote of the week:

"The only thing I haven't liked about this pregnancy is that black line down your stomach. What is that and will it go away?"

I do have a dark line on my stomach but it really isn't that dark. Luke is just a little sensitive about it. I'm not sure if it will go away or not.

Also, during the snowcation I played around and made collages of weeks during my pregnancy. It is so amazing to see how much I've grown (and how much I'm still growing).

Here I am at
14 - - - 24 - - - and 34 weeks:
I showed this to Luke and we were laughing about how big we thought I looked in my 14 week picture at the time.

Truly comical.

I can't believe I am already 35 weeks! This pregnancy really has flown by! We still have two more shower's left and several "necessity" items to get but we are pretty ready for little Eli to be here. Most days it feels like he should already be here!

  1. Luke's comments always make me laugh, they totally sound like stuff M would say. I think you look beautiful, can't wait to see what little Eli will look like, I bet he has lots of hair! ;)

  3. I can NOT believe you are already almost there!! Blows my mind!

And I haven't even bought him any presents yet! Although I have been really tempted.

  4. I know you don't like the # on the scale, but you seriously look so good. I have gained less than 20 pounds and I look MUCH, MUCH bigger than you. Don't beat yourself up...the skinny girls always gain a lot and then bounce right back to being skinny.

Also, the dark line goes away! :)

You're looking great!!! And he is going to be here SOON!

  8. Megan! You are too cute. I cannot believe we are 5 weeks (or less) from meeting Eli! You are still so tiny. I love the collage. =)

And Luke's comments are hilarious. Y'all are a great couple!

  10. Clearly I don't know personally, but I'm pretty sure that line does go away. Something about the muscles or something separating??? Girl I don't know. Google it!! :)

  11. I love the Luke comments that you add every week! They always make me laugh.

I hear ya about the sleep. I just remember never feeling truly comfortable. Oh and I had the dark line too. I can't remember exactly when it went away, but Aedan is 11 months and it has been gone for awhile. :)

  12. You can tell Luke that black line is from hormones (yea hormones!) and it will go away after Eli gets here. It'll just take a couple months.

I've got a 12 week-old and mine is starting to fade but it'll still be a while before it's all the way gone.

  13. Don't stress over the dark line - it's caused by the hormones and it goes away!

  14. Looking good and moving along...take a moment to enjoy these last few weeks. It is precious time you will never get back. Rub a little extra on that bump ;)

  16. PEPCID AC maximum strength! I just started taking it and has completely wiped out my heartburn which was very bad! I'm 30 weeks - and it was given the okay by my Dr. and online research so you should be good! I take one pill every 12 hours and by the 12th hour if the effects fade a bit I take a tums (or 3) along with the pepcid max strength pill - but my life quality & ability to enjoy food again have improved SO much!!!

  17. Wow you are getting so close! You look fantastic! :)

  18. I think you should just put "A BABY" under the weight gain portion of the update. After Eli's born, you'll probably be holding him and thinking, "How did he fit in there?" It truly is a miracle.

  21. You seriously look the same in all of your pictures other than your bump. I know you said you have gained weight, but I don't see it. Your legs and arms still look great!

  25. Ugh, sleep during the last part of pregnancy is not good at all. You look kind of like you're carrying low. Has Eli dropped? Anyway, I think you look great for 35 weeks. The only thing that looks like it has grown is your belly.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I cannot believe how much your belly has popped since Christmas time! Amazing! But seriously, the rest of you looks the same! Do not fret about the weight gain - I can't see it anywhere but your bump!

    ReplyDelete
  27. You can't have gained much other than what that baby weighs, because you look utterly fabulous! You're almost there - how exciting! Happy weekend!

  28. You are just soo soo cute! U look amazing! Just all baby belly!! I cannot believe you are so close to your due date!! Crazy:) Yay:) Yay:) Yay

  29. You look fabulous!! It seriously looks like you have not gained a pound! You just have a baby belly!

  30. The black line DOES go away! I had it with all three of my pregnancies and my entire belly button turned completely black too. It went away a couple of months after my babies were born!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Two thoughts...

My pre-preg size was a 6 and by the end of my pregnancy, I had gained 88 lbs. and was a size 12. A month after he was born, I had lost 44 of it, and now he's almost 5 months and I just have a little bit left, which, truth be told, would have gone away WAY sooner if I would have gotten off my butt and done some, any, sort of exercising. You'll be fine - I promise. My OB told me not to worry about the weight as long as I was eating healthfully and drinking enough water.

Secondly... the black line. Too funny that he doesn't like it.. it was my favorite part of my growing belly. :) Like I was a REAL pregnant lady, lol. Anyway, like I said before, my son is almost 5 months old, and I still have the line, so don't plan on it fading too quickly. Sorry. :(

By the way, my little guy had a head full of black hair, and I thought he'd look weird when he was crowning and they told me he had hair, but he was adorable and I couldn't have pictured him any other way. :)
