1/4/11

Week 29

How Far Along: 29 weeks (30 weeks tomorrow)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I plead the 5th.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants and most shirts. And by most I mean ALL.

Gender: BOY!! Eli Tree

Movement: Yes I felt him a ton during the break. I love to feel his little movements. Sometimes he will kick me in the ribs, or my bladder just to make sure I have his attention. Believe me, he has my attention. Since going back to work I have felt him less, but I think its because I'm on the go more. I'm not just sitting on the couch eating puppy chow watching TV. Ah, those were the days. Luke plays music for him at night and he will start dancing around, we found out that he likes straight beats. Whatever that means.

Cravings: Not really anything specific this week. I'm trying to avoid a lot of sweets, but I went grocery shopping this week and saw those animal crackers that are covered in icing and sprinkles. UM YES PLEASE. The box said they were a good source of calcium, so I'm just trying to stay healthy!

Symptoms: Man Oh Man, 3rd trimester has hit me with a vengeance. I'm not sure if it's normal or not but I started getting this awful quesy sick feeling since hitting 3rd trimester and have even thrown up a couple of times. I'm also SO tired. I wake up feeling exhausted and now that I'm back to work, keeping my eyes open between the hours or 3-5 has proved to be difficult.

Best Moment this week: My mom found a rug that will coordinate with our bedding perfectly! I'm so excited! The colors I picked for our bedding have been very difficult to match and coordinate with, so anything we find that goes with it is a victory in my book! Plus we purchased the paint and Luke has begun painting the room tonight! Yay!

And my favorite husband quote of the week:

"Wow, you must have had an easy pregnancy up until now, because you have REALLY started acting pregnant since hitting 3rd trimester."

In his defense, I had been a little crazy, including sitting on his bed at his parent's house crying for an hour because of the amount of food I had eaten, and talking about how we can't afford to buy me new bigger clothes, and I won't be able to lose the weight, so I'm just going to have to wear sweats, and I can't wear sweats to work so I will have to get stretchy work pants and so on and so on. It was classic.

And I'm over it now. It was purely the hormones.

And here is the front view. Getting wider by the day. And it has NOTHING to do with the iced animal crackers. Those are a source of calcium, remember? And let's just relish in the fact that I have black on and it camouflages my stomach in this picture. You can see it in person.

  1. Oh my gosh. This made me laugh more than once. You are too funny! You look fabulous and I'm sure your cookies are a great source of calcium! I love how Eli likes steady beats, but you have no idea what that means. I can't wait to see you and Luke when he gets here. You crack me up. You're going to be wonderful parents!!

  9. Um, I just laughed out loud at the story about crying about your clothes - I have said similar things, it's totally normal. Today I went off about how I will have to work FOREVER and EVER because the husband joined a gym, which is $50 a month we don't have so now I will always have to work...even though we had talked about it last night. WTF?
