Have you ever become a thief on accident?
You took something that wasn't yours, but you totally didn't mean to?
Well this happened to me recently.
You see, while we were at Luke's parents house over Christmas we went on a little four wheeling excursion.
Being the 'non-outdooresy-girl' that I am I did not bring the appropriate going-out-in-2-degree-weather-to-ride-on-a-mini-motorcycle just.for.the.fun.of.it. clothing.
Silly me. Next time I'll bring my spare cover-alls.
Luke really wanted me to ride this four wheeler with him and had been asking me all day to please ride it (if we had been dating I would have thought he was going to propose to me, but since we were married I knew he really just wanted me to ride with him, no special prize at the end). So being the amazing wife that I am I kindly obliged.
After whining about it for several hours.
As I was putting on my appropriate four wheeling gear (oh wow) I realized that I had not brought socks with me on our trip.
Uggs do not require socks, I only wear Uggs when it is below 30 degrees, therefore I had no socks.
So Luke's dad gave me some of his socks to wear while we were four wheeling.
From the moment I put my feet into these socks I knew there was something different about them.
People, these were the best socks my feet had ever been in.
It was like God's manna in pure sock form.
Seriously, like walking around with mini space heaters in the form of socks on my feet.
After our four-wheeling adventure (it was thrilling let me tell you) I continued to wear the socks throughout the week, with the full intention of returning them before we left.
Several days later we arrived back at home in our good ole apt and I realized I was still wearing the treasured socks.
I figured Luke's parents probably realized I took the socks and I would just return them next time we saw them. And maybe mourn the loss of the best socks ever.
I asked Luke if it was weird that I was wearing his dad's socks but he said it wasn't. So I continued to wear them.
Every. Single. Day.
A couple of days later Luke was on the phone with his mom asking her what we should get his dad for his birthday.
She then told him that we should get him some new socks because he lost his favorite pair.
Luke immediately started laughing hysterically when he realized I had stolen his dad's favorite socks.
I had THEIF written across my forehead.
But I really didn't care because I had the warmest, most comfortable socks on, and my toes were as snug as a bug in a rug.
Us in our Four-Wheeling Gear:
This is sooo cute!

I never pack tennis shoes or warm outdoor clothing when we go to Ty's parents house. He gets so irritated. You think he would realize that there is a reason I don't pack those things--I don't want to be outside!
