Like most other weekends this summer, our weekend officially kicked off on Thursday night. Thursday night we packed up and headed to my hometown. Luke was meeting his band to practice for a couple of hours so I naturally hung out with my family. I got to spend lots of time loving on Maxton, who would clearly rather love on the animals than me:
Friday night Luke's band had a show at the River Walk. It was a really neat set-up and lots of friends and family came out and joined us for the night. I hope his band gets to play there again next year! My handsome rockstar husband: 
One of my blogging friends Lindsey came out with her husband Ty. He took this picture for us. It was his idea to put the band in the background. We thought it turned out great!

Saturday Luke's cousin got married so we got all dressed up in about 1128 degrees and went to a wedding. It is hard to feel cute when you are sweating profusely, and I don't even sweat!
Maybe I do sweat, because every time I say something about sweating, I have to follow it up with, "and I don't even sweat!" Maybe its time to retire that statement. So sad.

The Tree Fam: I grew up with a family that is primarily girls. I never ever knew it was so difficult to get boys to take a picture. All I wanted was a cute picture to use for their Christmas card. I was sorely outnumbered on wanting to do this. My sisters usually jump at the chance to have their picture taken.
Saturday night we headed back home. I get so sad when our weekends end on Saturday night. But I am thankful that we had a great weekend with family and friends!

Looks like such a great weekend!! I love the pics of the hubby rocking out!! And yea, all the guys in my fam are always against the picture taking! I just don't get it!

Sounds like a great time...yeah, guys are impossible when it comes to taking pictures. They alwYs want to make the football face and I hate it. I had to give my husband a speech before our wedding. And I always smile when I see a camera!

Man! I wish I would have known Luke was playing, I would have loved to come and listen! We were at La Fortune listening to the band there. Luke's was probably a lot better!
