A cool pasta

Do you ever go through periods of time when you eat the same foods over and over?

I'm pretty sure I survived four years of college on Hot Pockets, Instant Mac n Cheese and Hot dogs. I really don't remember eating much of anything else.

Other than Taco Bueno.

One time during my junior year I got hooked on this stuff: Suddenly Salad. It is so quick and easy and seriously so good.

I ate it so much that year that I grew tired of it.

However like I said last week I have been on a desperate search for something to eat that is nice and cool during these hot summer months.

While at the grocery store this week, I spotted this stuff and memories of how wonderful this pasta is flooded to my mind. It really hits the spot.

We had it tonight with grilled chicken and not only was it good but I felt healthy! So I of course completed the healthy meal with some chocolate chip cookies.

Right now I'm watching this show on TV about people who were pregnant with twins and had no idea until they went in to give birth.

Don't tell Luke but I secretly hope that happens to us, how fun would that be?!?!? A fun little surprise tucked in there!

And I think I will leave you on that note.

  1. I watched that same show tonight. It was very interesting, huh?
My grandma has twin daughters. She's almost 94 so this was when kids were born at home,(and they were) but she didn't know she was having twins until they were born.
    It'd be a surprise alright. :)

  2. To take up the surprise element up a notch, there is a series about women who were pregnant and had no idea until they went into labor!

  11. That stuff is SO good! I make it and take it to the tailgates with us during football season. We'll usually do hamburgers and hotdogs, and I'm ALWAYS the one that brings the pasta salad! Yummy!

And I watched the show about people not knowing that they were pregnant with twins until birth either. That's crazy...and kind of cool. Just don't try the giving birth at home thing!

  12. I love Suddenly Salad! We had the basil pesto kind the other night with Sloppy Joes. It was good, but my favorite is still the bacon ranch and I doctor it up a bit with parmesan cheese!

First of all, thanks so much for praying for Dak. He is so sick, I am really concerned. He just checked his temp and it is back up to 102.1. We really appreciate your prayers.
