I spent my night from 7 to 10 flipping through these channels like crazy, trying to catch every moment. Yes I have DVR but I was too impatient, I wanted to watch them all at the same time.
Luke does not watch any of these shows and claims to not like them (although I am convinced he really likes DWTS, he would just never admit it) so I am glad that I had my Twitter Friends to keep me company. We had a good time together! :-)
I didn't watch The Biggest Loser enough this season to really be rooting for somebody, but I was definitely a fan of Tara. And I think the lady who won looked like she had lost too much weight. Tara looked adorable.
As for American Idol, I have decided I don't care who wins.
I'm not a big fan of any of the three. Danny and Adam both get on my nerves, and Kris just doesn't have the chops (yes I am channeling my inner Kara) to win.
But you can bet I will be tuning in for the finale!
As I was watching tonight I noticed a sign in the audience that said: Kiss Me Kris. I thought this was completely inappropriate, he is married!!!!!!
Do you think it is inappropriate for girls to hold signs up like this to married men, even if they are celebrities? Do you think that it just 'comes with the territory' of that world?
Luke didn't think it was a big deal and thought I was weird for thinking it was wrong.
I know I wouldn't want people holding up signs that said "Kiss Me Luke!"
Am I overreacting? Am I too possessive? Too conservative?
I'm interested to see what people think.
Also, who do you WANT to win Idol/ and who do you think WILL win. Those could be different answers!

ReplyDeleteI have just as much trouble flipping back & forth between shows tonight too. And I do agree with you, I think Tara deserved to win and the winner (whose name I can't remember right now) did look a little unhealthy with her weight loss.

that's weird. when i saw the sign, i thought "geez, how inappropriate!" i totally agree, celebrity or not, married or not, people should keep stuff like that pure. but oh well, look at the society we live in.
ReplyDeletei really like Adam but i think his voice is something u have to really like or you'll really hate. i think Kris has a better chance of winning because his voice is more "normal" but u're right, i don't think Gokey or Kris are outstanding. we'll have to see!
Biggest Loser was CRAZY! I didn't see Helen's win coming, at all!! 117 really was too small. I am glad she lost the weight, but she looked too thin. I was cheering for Mike. Even if he didn't win, he looked FABULOUS! And so did Tara!

I think that it is weird that people have signs like that, but I would say that I kinda agree with Luke. I think it comes with the terrority of becoming a celebrity. However, if that was my husband on stage I probably wouldnt be too pleased with it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cheering for Kris...although I am not sure he can/will win. The judges were blatantly Adam supporters last night, in my opinion. Kris' style of music and his personality is much more "me" than Adam or even Danny. I like Danny more than Adam, though.

ReplyDeleteI have no idea who will win! I could say Adam, BUT, I've learned you never know with these things...I think Kris will be let down like David Archuleta. He's just the all-American boy, but nothing special. Adam will be the one that sings well but surprisingly doesn't win, like Clay Aiken, and Danny will be America's fave. Man, I've watched too much of this...

ReplyDeletei just hope adam doesn't win. if kris or danny win i'll be happy for them. i've kind of liked danny since the beginning. he has gotten more annoying as the weeks go on and kris has gotten better as the weeks have gone on. kris will definitely get the girl vote and you know i think it's inappropriate that someone held up that sign!
i will miss ty on DWTS, but don't think he should have won. i am rooting for melissa even though you don't like her :)
and i totally wanted tara to win and really thought she would win. helen looked extra skinny. my thing last night was predicting how much they weighed before they got on the scale and i totally predicted her weight.
I saw the sign for Kris too and thought it was weird! It made me feel awkward for him.

I really wanted Tara to win, she looked healthy and beautiful. Oh and I wasn't happy how they made us wait until the last 2 minutes to find the winner and then the show cut out! (I'm sass today :)

ReplyDeleteWe had plans early in the evening so we watched Biggest Loser via DVR & let me tell you, that show goes by so much faster that way! I do agree with you, Helen looked really really skinny & I felt bad for Tara since she had won almost everything all season!

Tara looked much better, Helen lost too much weight, her face freaked me out a little. I was surprised, I really thought Tara was gonna win.

I found your blog a couple weeks ago and I have to comment now! I agree that Helen lost way too much weight. I thought she looked bad. I wanted Tara to win. And I haven't watched American Idol yet, but I feel the same way you do about the sign! I think it is very inappropriate!

I didn't even have time to watch AI last night b/c BL was so dang long! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought Helen looked too thin. I felt so sad for Tara not winning...she looked beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really want Kris or Danny to win AI. I truly feel like it's a toss up right now. You never know what's going to happen with America being the deciding factor. It's obvious what would happen if the judges decided..they've favored Adam the whole way!
I didn't watch the season but did tune in for the finale. Helen looked TOO skinny! Tara looked amazing and only missed winning by 5lbs :( And how about Jerry!?!? Impressive!
ReplyDeleteAs for Idol, again I haven't watched a single episode but the whole sign thing is kind of weird..but I guess it does come with the territory. A few years ago Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were performing together and a woman grabbed Tim in a not very respectable place. And Faith called this girl out..while the music was still playing and everything! She said something like "Honey, you don't touch someone else's husband..even if they are a celebrity!!"
I WANT Danny to win and I think Adam will win although I can't stand him!

Out of the 3, he's the only one who will make an album that I'll want to sit and listen to for an hour. Plus, Adam gets all this credit for changing up songs.... Kris has flipped his fair share of songs this season, too.

and the sign was totally not cool. but i do think it kind of comes with the territory. i think you have to be just a really secure person to deal with all the junk fame brings along.. hope these guys are ready for it!!
