I need this.....

Have you seen this???

The Dyson Ball Vacuum.

This thing looks AMAZING.

One thing you must know is I have a small obsession with vacuums. Besides laundry its my most favorite household chore.

When Luke and I were registering for our wedding, I REALLY wanted to register for a Dyson, but I figured nobody would spend that much on a vacuum and then I would end up with no vacuum.

So we went for a more reasonable vacuum which made sense at the time.

But unfortunately it ended up breaking about 4 months after we got married. It was a very sad day.

I won't even tell you how long it has been since I last vacuumed, because its absolutely disgusting.

I will tell you it was some where between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sick.

So now I have my heart set on this beautiful piece of man made art that swivels on a dime. If only I could convince the Hubs that $400 won't set us back that much.
I could live in an apartment a little longer if it meant that I could have this technology that is sent from Heaven Up Above.

A girl can dream right..........

And in other news: You should know that I am following Ryan Seacrest on Twitter and I feel like it brings me one step closer to becoming his BFF. He even updated during a commercial break on Idol. Some people may call this stalking. I call this tweeting.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!! I will be picking up crumbs off of my floor with my hands, while saving money for my precious Dyson.

  1. Oh yes the Dyson! I would LOVE to have one!! Every time I see that commercial, I look over at James and pout a little. I think Ryan Seacrest is adorable! You crack me up! It's not stalking at all, twittering (is that now a verb? yes to me it is) is public.. :)

  2. We have a Dyson (not the ball one) and we love it! Too funny that laundry is your favorite chore, it's mine too!

  3. yuck, chores! I don't have any favorite chores. I despise them all! :) But if I had a pink dyson I would enjoy vacumming more!

  4. We just saw a commercial for it tonight! We are on our third vacuum cleaner #2 just broke a couple weeks ago! Maybe the Dyson lasts forever, see a long term investment :)

  6. I laughed out loud about Ryan!! hahaha. I have twitter but haven't started using it yet. I probably should? You should check out dysons around Christmas! They go on sale. I almost got a pink one this past year but my dad wouldn't agree yet...and I won't fork up the money since 70% of my house is tile!

  7. I wanted a dyson, as well. Then my responsible husband looked up all ratings on every vacuum on the market and found that there is a vacuum at sears that is the best, supposedly. So I didn't get my ultra-cool dyson. I have an upright from sears. It's not near as sexy, but it sucks dirt.

  8. I love my Dyson. I dropped hints since I got engaged to Hubby. We got one on credit card points that he had saved up. And well it fabulous but I already knew it. It was not the one I wanted, in fact it was the smaller one on the ball but it works just as well as my parents animal version as far as I can tell.
I remember when they first came out over here, my mom drooled over them too. She harped on it for weeks but dad did not want to spend the money. Hence their first one was bought off of Ebay to test the waters. It still works and they have since bought a second one for the other house.
So it is worth the investment. And their used one was a year or two old when they got it and it has been atleast 5 years since they got it and still works wonderful.
Sorry for the long post on the wonders of Dyson, but I am obsessed.

  9. We have a Dyson- and LOVE it. It is one of the only "chores" my husband will do because he loves to see all the stuff it picks up. They are expensive- but they last for years. Seriously- my parents have had one for close to 8 years I think.

  17. The Dyson! I mean, really, that thing is genius. And I share the Ryan-love. I need to go find him on Twitter because my life will not truly be complete if I am not aware of what he is doing at all times.

Tell Luke I would vote for him!!!

  19. I am totally in love with this too! Me & hubs argued because he said, "it cant do anything more than any other vaccum"... I was like LOOK AT THE COMMERCIAL where the regular vaccum doesnt get under the chairs.... he's a man who just doesnt get it! :-)

I bet pretty soon, Ryan Seacrest is going to be FOLLOWING YOU!!! :-)

  20. Yes, I too, tried to register for this beauty, but the hubs turned it down :( I would love to own this!! we have gone through 2 vacuums in the past 8 months b/c they keep breaking! Now if we just would have splurged on this one we would be a 1 vacuum family!

And your love for Ryan cracks me up!! I feel that one day you will be BFF's!

  21. I debated about a dyson too, but we only have one small carpeted room, so i got a cheap one.

My friend got the Dyson Animal and loves it. They got it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and used a 20% off coupon. I thought that was a great idea!

  22. I can't believe you love to Vacuum. You can come vacuum my house anytime! And the last time I vacuumed was right after Christmas because of all the tree droppings! :-) haha

  23. It seems funny to me, when you lived at home you neither vacuumed or did laundry. Hum.

  24. i've been reading your blog for a couple months now and this is the first time i've been dissapointed! but only because of the product! my boyfriend owns his own ORECK franchise and i have to tell you what a mistake you would be making if you bought a dyson. the guy on the commercial is certainly appealing with his australian accent and all but the product isn't worth the money! just thought i'd offer my insight even though you didn't ask! :) pray for an oreck instead-you won't be dissapointed!

  25. I just want a maid. I can't stand any type of cleaning. But I do it and that is why I would love a Dyson as well. And I will now be following Ryan on Twitter, because while he is YOUR Bff he can be MY boyfriend. HA!

  26. We have the purple Dyson and honestly, it doesn't do a very good job. Have you checked Consumer Reports to see which one got the best review?

    Good Luck!

  27. I am actually needing a new vacuum cleaner myself- and this one looks awesome!
Everytime I saw Ryan on Idol last night, I thought of you!!! Have a great weekend!

  28. I want a Dyson more than I can possibly put into words! =)

  29. I would LOVE Dyson too. I need the purple pet one because of all this dog hair floating around my house. Ugh!

You are cracking me up about the Ryan Seacrest thing...so funny!!

  30. Do you have a Bed, Bath and Beyond near you? I got my Dyson with a 20% off coupon. Maybe that would convince the Hubs?!?!?

  31. Oh, I would so love to have a Dyson. BTW, cute blog girl!!

  32. I love a nice vacuumed floor! Doesn't it just make you feel good?!!
My vacuum isn't a very good one though.
Years ago I gave my sister such a hard time
because she let a sales guy talk her into buying a Kirby. They're nice, but so expensive. At the time I kept wanting her to buy a computer and she bought a Kirby instead. I never let her live that one down.

I'll have to check out this Dyson. I've never seen them.
(not that I'll spend the money on one)

    Have a good weekend Megan!

  33. i have a dyson but mine doesn't have balls, i mean, a ball. hahahaa

you are so funny. go out and get you one. it's not splurging if you spend it on cleaning stuff!!! it just means you are an extraordinary cleaner. ha!

  34. That is the exact one I wanted on my registry too! I was amazed by the commercial. I knew no one would get it, though. Yes, a girl can dream haha:)

  35. When I saw the picture of the vacuum on my google reader, it got my attention right away and I had to read more...I have never met anyone else that has a thing for vacuums, ha ha! I want to purchase the best one when my fund permits it. I haven't done my research yet but if you love vacuums and you love the dyson, I must check it out! I'm with you on the chores too, laundry and vacuuming are my top two! I'm guessing that's why we love vacuums...
