First off was Friday night: Luke and I cooked dinner at home (we love a good home cooked pasta meal). Then we headed to the local ice skating rink to join our church friends for a little bit of skating fun.
Word to the wise: Ice Skating sounds a whole lot more fun than it actually is. Especially when you are skating with every 5th grader in town. It really puts you in your spot on a Friday night: Complete loser.
Luke had never been ice skating before: I'm not kidding when I say, he stopped at the front desk to sign up for an ice hockey team before he even made it to the ice!!!! Luke, I know you were good at football, but ice hockey is much different.
Here he is ready to go skate for the first time:
I have always been a little apprehensive about ice skaing.
In 7th grade I went to a birthday party at an ice skaing rink and I tried to do a double axle (I really thought it would be easy) and I busted out my front tooth. There was blood all over the ice.
Maybe sometime I should just write a post about all of my crazy accidents: busted nose and tooth, stick up the foot, 2 collpased lungs....I foresee a future post!
Below is Valerie, Me, Julie, and Kristen. Kristen and I actually live in the same apartment complex right across from each other. How crazy is that?!? We share the same dumpster :-)

After lunch I headed home to spend the afternoon with college friends. Jodi and Kyle met me and Luke at our apartment and started our night of fun! Here is Jodi and Kyle hanging out in our humble abode:
I had to work Saturday night at a football event, but it was an event that my fellow UCO graduates could join me at. So we enjoyed football, food and fun! Here is Tambra and Jodi with me at the game:

Jodi and I lived together for 2 years in this apartment. We have a lot of fun and crazy memories in there! It feels like it was yesterday.

It was such a fun weekend. I got to meet new friends and catch up with old! You couldn't make up a better Saturday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
What a fun weekend! Roomie recap is the best...I love that you guys are still close!
ReplyDeleteIt was so great to finally meet you in person. You are too cute and we had the best time getting to know you. We'll definitely have to do it again!
Have a great week!
p.s. maybe we'll meet up at the dumpster one day :)
This post sucked for me.
ReplyDeleteOf course I didn't mind if you used the picture. Kristen did too. :)
ReplyDeleteI hate the way I'm sitting. I think I was worried that I was blocking you so I'm leaning so far back. I look really weird, but...
It was a very fun time.
You'll have to read a post that Linda (on my favorites) wrote that very day about site meters etc. It was so funny to read some of the comments. They were all saying some of the same things we did.
I'm glad you had a fun time with your friends at UCO as well.
I don't like ice skating at all. I used to be so good at roller skating and then went ice skating and I had to hang onto the little wall the whole time.
I still can't get over that you and Kris live so close.
Have a good week!
So fun! I love catching up with old friends - and I love that you got to me meet some fellow bloggers!
ReplyDeleteYou really do need to write a post about your accidents - those sound interesting!
What a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteOk, I have come to the conclusion that we would be great friends in real life. Just wanted to let you know. :)
Hope you're having a great Monday!
It was so neat to meet you and I loved laughing. Laughter is the greatest thing. We will definitely have to meet up again! What a fabulous way to end your Saturday!!! It is fun to hang out with friends and especially at a football event!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pictures...you are so dang cute!
ReplyDeleteIce skating! how fun... I am not very good at it though, I spend more time with my booty on the ice instead of my feet! Looks like you guys had a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou are just so cute! A double axle!? Love it! LOL
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had fun tho! (I like your friend Raina's name :))
You are cracking me up talking about ice skating and all of your accidents. My word!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun lunch it sounds like you had with blogging friends. I wish I could have been there too! I think it is wild that you and Kristen live in the same apartment complex!
Glad you had a great weekend!
YAY for this post! We had a great time too. We will have to do it again soon!
ReplyDeleteha as I was reading this I was trying to think of any accidents that happened growing up with you. I def need to find that "so burned I can't move pic."
ReplyDeleteI like to see all of you with your UCO shirts on-I think I lived my college years through you. Can I come next time and wear one and just pretend? :)
