Last night my reality group talked about Temptation. Everybody is tempted, no person is without temptation, but it is how we handle that temptation that is important.
It was interesting to me how as each girl shared what they were currently tempted with every other person would agree with her - they too had been tempted by the same thing at one point. When we are the one being tempted we allow the enemy to make us feel like we are the only one who is struggling with that problem so we keep it to ourselves for fear of what we will look to others. Personally it felt good to share my struggles with these girls and know that they will be there for accountability and prayer.
I look forward each week to getting together with these girls and sharing our lives. God truly uses these girls to work in me and each other. Take a minute sometime today to pray for a friend and what she is tempted with, you may not know what her temptation is, but you can be certain that she is tempted by something and would appreciate your prayers.
On a different note - I have a question: how old do you have to be before you stop having breakouts? Seriously I thought that this went away with age, but here I am at 24 and my forehead has become a breeding ground for pimples. It could be because I started tanning this week - so lets see I started tanning this week and now: 1. My face looks like those pictures of the 'before' people on the proactiv commercials 2. My entire body is the color of Santa's beautiful red suit and I am so uncomfortable in any type of clothing 3. I am causing my body to age at a much faster rate.. Remind me again why I do this??????

P.S. This is a picture of me saying I'm Baaaaaack! (actually this was originally a picture of me saying I'm engaged!!! But its my picture and I can change the meaning right?) I have to admit wedding planning has robbed my life of blogging for awhile, but now that all of the big stuff is out of the way I have time to blog, I just don't know if I have anything interesting left to say!!! Tonight I went to several of my favorite blogs only to find out that you guys had posted like 20 times since I last read. I'm so sorry!!! But here I am back and ready to read and comment!
Yay! I'm glad to hear your back. About the breakouts, I'm 27 and wondering the same thing.

ReplyDeleteFunny Stuff! When I was a teenager I used to think that there was a magical age when I would stop have pimples. This is what I know: I am 35 and today I have another big one!
